Making an Appointment

Due to Coronavirus circulating in the community we have moved to different ways of working our appointments system for patient and staff safety.  We are contacting all patients who have medical needs by telephone initially to discuss the problem.

If you require help with a medical problem can you request a telephone consultation through our e-consultation service through the website, the practice will contact you back within 48 hours which may be by e-consultation message, a text or a phone call.  If the problem you have means you need to be seen by a member of the medical team this will be arranged when we contact you.  Using the e-consultation service free phone lines for medical emergencies and there are also useful links to other NHS services and self-help guides.

If you can't use the e-consultation service the practice is available by telephone 0151 295 8686.  We would prefer this number is used mainly for calls regarding urgent medical needs if possible.

The surgery is able to utilise telephone consultation very effectively for many problems historically seen in surgery, we have the ability to use video and picture consulting, but are available for face-to-face examinations if the medical team feel this is clinically needed.  We also continue to visit housebound and terminally ill patients when needed, if you feel you need a home visit please can you try to ring before 11:00am

Online appointment booking

To increase patient access to our services we offer a 24 hour online appointment booking system.

Firstly you must register to use the internet appointment booking facility. To do this, please bring two forms of identification to reception, one being photographic (e.g passport, driving licence) and the other being a recent (within 3 months) proof of address (e.g a utility bill, bank statement, council tax)

All patients must provide a separate valid email address, and then a pin number will be sent via email.

After initial registration, the system will allow patients to book, cancel or check appointments on the web, whatever time or day and send you immediate confirmation of the booking. You will automatically be added to the appointment list, so there is no need to re-confirm by e-mail or telephone - just arrive promptly on the day!

Once the registration process is complete, you can log on to the appointments systems using your individual patient number and password, and will be able to view appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary and book an appointment with your doctor after checking the times available.
